See What Happens When Light Meets Space and Water at This Exhibit
Laura Rathe Fine Art will present "Echos of Lights," an exhibition featuring new works by artists Christy Lee Rogers and Chris Wood. LRFA curates a collection that presents the multidimensional behavior of light explored through space and water. Light - one of the most ephemeral experiences of our world finds itself encapsulated within these artworks illuminating our surroundings, giving us rich colorful sights and pleasurable sensations that connect to the source of its luminosity - consciousness.
Christy Lee Rogers is a visual artist from Kailua, Hawaii. Her obsession with water as a medium for breaking the conventions of contemporary photography has led to her work being compared to Baroque painting masters like Caravaggio. Rogers’ works have been exhibited throughout the US and Europe and are held in private and public collections throughout the world.
Chris Wood’s medium is light. She uses a range of high and low-tech optical materials to harness patterns of light that suggest ephemeral glimpsed moments in the natural world. Her sculptures are simple arrangements creating kinetic patterns in response to the environments in which they are placed. Her work is represented in a number of private collections as well as the Shanghai Museum of Glass.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display until August 4. Admission for this event is free, and we welcome everyone to come see this amazing exhibit!
