A Leading Figure in Fashion Comes to the Museum of Fine Arts
See one of the most influential names in fashion like never before at a special biographical exhibit! The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston presents "The Glamour and Romance of Oscar de la Renta," an exhibition celebrating the illustrious life and six-decade career of the influential fashion designer.
Curated by André Leon Talley, the former editor-at-large of Vogue and a lifelong friend to de la Renta, the exhibition draws from de la Renta’s corporate and personal archives, private lenders, and the costume collection of the Museum of Fine Arts to present over 90 ensembles designed by the late couturier. The unprecedented display showcases a historic overview of Mr. de la Renta’s design work, highlighting recurring themes such as the significant influences of Spain, Russia, China, and the garden on his designs.
