Child Prodigy, Billy Raffoul, Heads to the House of Blues Houston for a Spectacular Show
Soulful rock singer/songwriter Billy Raffoul brings his talents to the House of Blues on Thursday, August 9th. The son of respected regional solo artist Jody Raffoul, Billy spent his childhood immersed in the finer points of rock history, watching his father perform, and learning to play guitar himself. Now, Raffoul tours the country promoting his recent releases.
Billy Raffoul’s anthemic debut single “Driver” serves as a potent calling card for the 22-year-old. His signature sound is a rough-hewn, low-timbered rock and roll that nods to the likes of Jeff Buckley, Neil Young, and Joe Cocker, and is powered by Raffoul’s gravelly, soulful voice and deeply felt lyrics.
When it comes to touring, Raffoul states, “I want to build my career on the live show. I want to be a true working musician." He knows that makes him sound like a traditionalist and he's fine with that. "I think that even in this ever-changing music business there will always be a thirst for live performance and that’s what I want to do. That’s always been the goal. Connect with people, one room at a time.”
Soul music fans won’t want to miss Billy Raffoul at the House of Blues Houston this August. Tickets are available online and at the door.
